3M Littmann Veterinary Master Classic II Stethoscope. This Veterinary Master Classic II 3M Littmann Stethoscope are a series of stethoscopes designed for medium and large animal applications. This model has a 32" inch long tube, ideal for equine and larger dog use. These stethoscopes use the patented single sided chest piece design that combines both the bell and diaphragm modes into the same side of the chest piece. Light pressure detects low frequency sounds. Firm pressure produces a diaphragm response detecting high frequency sounds. The single sided chest piece allows detection of both frequencies without changing position and losing a landmark. Additionally, the design allows for an easier seal to the skin and/or hair coat than the traditional bell. All of the Littmann veterinary stethoscopes feature a patented diaphragm that assures high acoustic sensitivity and consistent frequency responses. They also feature lightweight headsets and soft-sealing ear tips which help ensure comfort and a good seal in the ear.
